Good Evening Friends!

I cannot believe it is almost July, this year has really flown by. Our teams are still rockin’ and rollin’, creating new spaces and keeping them in top condition for everyone to enjoy.

As the July 4th holiday approaches, I did want to provide an update on some scheduling changes. Glen Allen Grounds will be closed July 4th & July 5th, which is a Thursday & Friday. In order to do so, we are going to operate on a short schedule the week of the 1st. We are scheduled to get to everyone’s property before the holiday.

Let me repeat, everyone’s property WILL be serviced prior to the July 4th holiday.

We will be servicing our commercial properties on Saturday, June 29th. The remaining residential schedule will be adjusted, with an additional crew on the road, to accommodate the short week. Your property may be serviced on a different day than normal, but we will do everything we can to keep it as close to the current day as possible. We appreciate your understanding in an effort to give our crews an additional day off to relax, they deserve it!

Project Feature- Goochland Pool Project 2018

The highlight of our 2018 projects was one that included everything you need for your Summer parties. An award winning project, this space includes a custom designed pool, spa, fireplace and fire pit, an outdoor grilling area, over 2,400 square feet of entertainment space, and a koi pond.

Before I get into the details about this project, I must share our client experiences. I was referred to the homeowners by Eagle Bay, and received a little bit of background about them. New to the area, I wanted to make sure that the presentation of our company, the project, and myself, was top notch. I could not have asked for better clients to work WITH, and was honored that we were selected. The knowledge and stories I received from them about their family, life experiences, trips, and vacations with FIFTY CHILDREN, are some I will never forget. They have a big family, and needed a big space, and we delivered. I remember some of the “meetings” sitting up in the screened porch just talking and getting to know each other better, more than I do about project specifics, new plans, or what was happening next. These are the projects and clients that really drove me to go into business for myself. Sometimes I think I got more value out of them than they did out of me, and I know our relationship will continue down the road!

Now on to the project….

A mix of colors, sizes, textures, and materials, we truly were able to bring our clients ideas together to create a space that could manage a LARGE family! It all started with the pool, constructed by Travis Jowers & his team at Ultimate Pools. A custom design, the pool features a tanning shelf with bubblers, and a separate Spa area for those cooler nights. The pool and spa both were finished off by Travertine bullnose coping. The coping around the spa had to be custom cut 3 times PER PIECE & installed on the inside and outside radius separately to create the smooth look you see here!

All hardscape materials are manufactured by Eagle Bay Hardscape Projects. We got creative with the installation process, carrying all the different styles of products throughout the entire space and keeping with the style of the house. The project also features products from Blaze Grills & Kichler Lighting. Special shout out to Ryan Flora with Pete Rose for supplying all the Travertine coping and spa building stone, and Tyler Steele with Riverside Brick for supplying all the hardscape material! Outdoor Kitchen Creations also assisted with the kitchen installation.
