Welcome to the end of October everyone! It is hard to believe the year is almost over. This part of our season is always extremely hectic with end of season mowing, aeration, and the start of leaves. Not to mention the on-going construction projects with others on the horizion to get people ready for the Fall. Personally, I try to take these last three months to evaluate our business on the current year, but more importantly how we can be better for 2020. I am already very exicted for next year!

We had another tough aeration season with the LACK of rainfall this year. Thankfully, a lot of you have irrigation systems which allowed us to deliver some great results. We are doing our best to ensure they continue to thrive, by keeping turf areas free of leaves and debris. We anticipate having our leaf truck on the road within the next week.

With the recent rainfall we received over the last few weeks, it is best for everyone to start dialing back their irrigation systems. Some yards are very wet and could essentially be cut off for the rest of the season. If you are still seeing some germination, you could keep your system on for 3 days a week, for about 8 minutes a zone for rotors, and 3-4 minutes a zone for mist heads. We will start scheduling winterizations beginning Mid-November!

We are always looking for ways to better serve our maintenance clients. Beginning in September, we sent out a poll via our monthly invoice emails with a link to a survey. If time allows, please take a moment to let us know how we are doing!

Glen Allen Grounds- 2019 Hardscape Hero of the Year

I am proud to announce that Glen Allen Grounds was the recent recepient of the Eagle Bay Hardscape Hero of the Year Award! We were chosen out of 12 other monthly award winners for the 2018-2019 year. As a hardscape contractor, it is always great to receive special recognition for projects! This one is definitely something we will be proud of, there were some awesome projects that other contractors created. I could not be more proud of my guys for bringing this one home, it was truly a team effort!

We also could not have done this without the help of Eagle Bay. Matt, Cole, and Robert have pushed us to think outside the box and design these spaces to exceed expectations. Their customer service, design programs, and products are top notch, and we would not be where we are today without their help! Our dealer, Riverside Brick, is also a key component in the success of our construction division. We appreciate everything you all do!

Stay tuned for an additional article featuring this project and the special night. If you have not seen the project, check it out!

We would not be where we are today without our customers. This award would not be possible without our customers. I realize I say this often, but we truly appreciate all of you. Our goal is to be the best residential contractor in the city of Richmond, and it starts with you all. Your support means everything!
